Experience
My enjoyment of tutoring started in the 3rd grade when learning long division. Math came very naturally to me and my teacher wanted me to help some of my other classmates since most of the class was having some difficulties. I found I was good at helping others learn. I have continued to help friends, classmates, middle school, high school, college students and my own wife and children learn. I have worked in a college math tutoring center for 3 school years and worked with students of all skill levels. I also have volunteered to work with high school students in Minnesota, St. Paul, St. Anthony and Winona schools. These opportunities have made me a stronger tutor and also helped me work with a wide range of students with many different kinds of challenges. Even though my math skills are very good, my best tool when it comes to tutoring in math is being able to work with a student to understand how they look at and solve problems and guide them within their own way of thinking.

I am happily married and have 5 wonderful children. When we get free time I like to do things with the family like downhill skiing, hiking, swimming, playing ball and games. As the kids grown older I am enjoying the older ones participate in concerts, musicals, sports and other activities.
